On Wednesday the 26th March we played our second touch rugby math against Le Bocage International School in Moka. I must thank the captain of Le Bocage Stephan Smit for organizing everything. When the 2 teams met last year Morning Star won a very tight match, and it was much of the same this time round. The first half was a very tight fought contest in which Bocage came out tops, with the score 3-2 to Bocage. At one stage we had lead 2-1 in the first half with tries scored by Damon and Terry 'the rocket'.
The second half stared well for MSS as one of our debutants on the day Lee Brandon scored a very nice try. This tied the scores at 3 all, and in the last minute of play Michael ran down the right wing and dived over for the winning try.
So it was a very hard fought victory and the whole team were really tired even though the two halves were only 10 minutes long. Bocage took the loss in a very sporting manner and the game was played in very high spirits by both side and it was handshakes all around at the end of the match.
We really hope to make this a monthly event, and would like to invite Bocage to MSS for the next match.
